The Dodo Self-Catering Suite accommodates up to four guests, including two adults and two children under 16 years, with a choice of a double bed or twin beds and comfortable, convertible bunk beds in the lounge area.

The compact kitchen area has a double electric hob and a microwave for preparing simple meals. The Dodo Suite doesn't have an oven.

All Dodo Suites can be accessed by lift. For wheelchair access, please let us know when booking and we will do our best to offer a suitable suite.

When's check-in/check-out?

Check-in is from 3.00pm and check-out before 11.00am.

During the winter season when the Merton Hotel is closed, check-in must be between 3.00pm and 9.00pm. Check-out cannot be before 6.00am.

What cooking facilities are there?

The Dodo Suite has a compact kitchenette which is perfect for preparing breakfast and light meals.

It is equipped with a double electric hob and microwave as well as pots, pans and utensils. However, it does not have an oven.

The Dodo Suite does not have a dedicated dining area. Guests are welcome to eat meals around the table in the living area, but the bunk beds must be stowed to create enough space.

If you'd like a self-catering apartment with a larger kitchen and a dedicated dining area, we recommend the Durrell Suite

How big are the bunk beds?

The bunk beds measure 6 ft x 3 ft and can ONLY be used for children under 16 years only.

If you need to accommodate more than two adults, we recommend looking at The Jambo Suite.

Alternatively, you could look at booking a two Twin Rooms or a Triple Room in the Merton Hotel.

Is linen provided?

Yes, all bed linen and towels are provided.

Short-term residents will receive a weekly clean as well as fresh towels and linen for the duration of their stay.

The Merton Leisure Club & Aquadome can supply swimming towels for a small deposit.

Are there cots available?

Yes, cots and high chairs are available, please request them at the time of booking.

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately, for the benefit of all our guests, no pets are allowed in the Merton Suites.

Is it non-smoking?

Yes, all of the suites (including the balconies) are non-smoking. There is a designated smokers area in the Merton Suites car park.

Is there air conditioning?

Each suite has an electric fan. There is no air conditioning in the suites.
