What time is check-in /check-out?
Check-in is from 3.00pm and check-out before 11.00am on the day of departure.
During the winter when the Merton Hotel is closed, check-in must be between 3.00pm and 9.00pm. Check-out cannot be before 6.00am.
Are there a minimum number of nights I must stay?
Yes. Depending on the time of year, the minimum stay is from 3 to 7 nights. You can check when booking online, or ask our reservations team.
Does the price include breakfast?
No, but breakfast and dinner is served in the hotel (when open) and can be purchased separately.
The Merton Suites have also everything needed for self-catering all meals.
Can I book dinner in advance?
Yes you can. For guests who would like to have an evening meal in the Merton Hotel's Belvedere Restaurant, booking in advance online can give a saving of over 20% on normal prices.
There are also several other restaurants and bars in the hotel.
Will my suite be serviced?
Yes, during the summer season there will be a light daily service. During the winter months the rooms will be serviced once a week. Additional cleaning and linen change can be arranged at an extra charge of £25.
Can the stowaway bunk beds be used for adults?
The bunk beds are only for use by children under the age of 16.
What size are the stowaway bunk beds?
The bunk beds are 6ft x 3ft.
Is linen provided in the Merton Suites?
Yes, all bed linen and towels are provided. The Leisure Centre and Aquadome can supply towels for a small deposit.
Are there laundry facilities available on site?
Yes, there is a laundry room in the Suites building with £1 coin operated washers and driers. There is also a laundry service available when the Merton Hotel is open.
Do the Suites have King or twin beds in the main bedroom?
The Durrell Suite has a 5ft King Size bed. The Dodo Suite has ‘zip and link’ beds for a choice of either twin or King Size beds.
Are there any special offers available?
Are there cots available?
Yes, cots and high chairs are available, please request them at the time of booking.
Is there car parking available?
Yes, there is a private car park for Merton Suites customers only, in a secure and lit area.
Is there a bicycle store available?
There are bicycle racks in the Merton Suites private car park. This is a covered outside area.
Is there a porter service available?
Yes, our team of porters at The Merton Hotel will be happy to assist with luggage.
Is there a separate reception desk?
The Merton Hotel reception staff will be able to assist you 24 hours a day.
During winter months when the hotel is closed, check-in will be in the Merton Leisure Club and Aquadome from 6am to 8pm. Special arrangements are made for Christmas and New Year - please speak to our reservations team for details.
Are the Suites non-smoking?
Yes, all of the Suites (including the balconies) are non-smoking. There is a designated smokers area in the Merton Suites car park.
Are pets allowed in the Merton Suites?
Unfortunately, for the benefit of all our guests, no pets are allowed in the Merton Suites.

Do you provide BBQ's?
BBQ's are not provided and cannot be used on the balconies.
Do the Merton Suites have air conditioning?
Each Suite has an electric fan. There is no air conditioning in the Suites
What cooking facilities are there in the Merton Suites?
The Suites are equipped with cooking and kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery. All Suites have a microwave oven and two ring hob. The Durrell Suites also have an oven. If you would like to know more about the specific items available in the Suites please contact the reservations team.
Can I order room service to the Suites?
The Suites do not have room service, but you can order and collect takeaways from Bonetti’s Restaurant. Cascades Café just across the road in the Aquadome is open all year.
