Your career isn't defined by where you start, and at Seymour Hotels we give all our staff the opportunity to develop their skills and climb the career ladder. As a valued member of the Seymour team, you'll have access to industry training, internal mentoring and be given the chance to move between hotels to gain further experience.

Job Satisfaction

Enjoy work, enjoy life

We aim to provide all our staff with diverse tasks to ensure their role stays challenging and exciting. No day at Seymour Hotels is the same. Being flexible, responsive and creative means 'work' often doesn't feel like work.

Nothing boosts job satisfaction like sending guests home with a head full of fantastic holiday memories and a belly full of delicious food!

Training

Developing your skills

We take all new staff through a thorough induction process to help them settle into their role and feel part of the team.

Job skills training, customer care handling and health and safety training are just a few of the training programs we offer to ambitious staff members and as your careers progresses, you'll be encouraged to embark on supervisor training.

Career Progression

Rewarding ambition

Nothing impresses us more than ambition. Many of our managers and heads of department joined the group in a junior capacity and, having proved themselves at that level, have had their ability recognised through promotion.

This industry provides ample opportunity for those with ability and motivation to quickly reach positions of supervisory responsibility.

Mentoring

A supportive team

Like any good family, our managers and supervisors are on hand to provide guidance and professional advice whenever you need it.

We endeavour to appoint a mentor to every new team member, ensuring you have the necessary support to make your first few weeks at Seymour Hotels enjoyable and insightful.

Work Experience

Get a taste of hospitality

We're happy to design individual training programmes to meet the needs of Diploma and Degree students on Industrial Placement. The ideal placement length is between 6 and 12 months and we offer the chance to gain experience in kitchens, restaurants, bars, the rooms division and front of house.

We are always delighted to give local students the chance to experience our industry first hand through work tasters, open days, work shadowing, work experience, careers talks at school or holiday work.
