Shudhanshu Kaushik
General Manager
In the summer of 2021 we were thrilled to welcome the incredibly knowledgeable Shudhanshu Kaushik to the Pomme d'Or Hotel as General Manager.
With a wealth of education and experience in hospitality management, Shudhanshu has worked in some of the finest hotel establishments around the world, including in India, London, the French Alps, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Although a newcomer to Jersey, Shudhanshu is already embracing island life and immersing himself in the local culture and history, with a particular fondness for the Pomme d'Or Hotel as a pillar in Jersey's historical importance.

Adrian Avarvare
Deputy General Manager
Adrian Avarvare is our highly knowledgeable Deputy General Manager here at the Pomme d'Or Hotel. Born and raised in Bucharest, Adrian has a wealth of experience across hospitality venues in Europe and the UK, and has been living and working in Jersey since 2013.
Adrian thrives in the busy hotel environment, and enjoys motivating his team to produce top guest experiences. Interacting with different type of guests is also a highlight of Adrian's role, his top recommendation to our visitors is to embrace the relaxed pace of island life and enjoy every experience our beautiful island has to offer.
In his spare time Adrian loves nothing more than spending time with his young daughter and trying to turn her into a avid football fan (Adrian openly admits to be a football addict himself!)

Bernie Donnelly
Head Chef
Bernie Donnelly was born in Coatbridge, Scotland and has been working as a chef in hotels and restaurants across Scotland and Jersey for over 13 years. Bernie joined the Group in August 2017 as Head Chef of the Watersplash and at the end of February 2022, he moved to the Pomme d’Or as Senior Sous Chef, before being appointed Head Chef in 2023.
Bernie enjoys experimenting with modern culinary techniques and working with the team to create new and exciting menus influenced by their multicultural backgrounds. He recommends Jersey's fantastic selection of restaurants and likes to eat out in his spare time.

Grahame Tappin
Meetings and Events Manager
Grahame leads our events team as the Meetings and Events Manager.
Born and raised in Surrey, Grahame has since gained a wealth of hospitality experience previously working in Spain for 18 years. He moved to Jersey and joined the Seymour Group in 2021, taking on various roles from Receptionist to Night Manager and Assistant Front of House Manager before being promoted in 2023 to Events Manager. Building a good rapport with his clients is one of the most important elements to Grahame's role, and suits his love for organisation and planning perfectly.
In his spare time, Grahame is a keen walker and fitness fanatic. His island highlight is the beautiful Plemont Bay on the north coast.

Takis Pagkalis
Front of House Manager
Takis was born in Corfu, Greece and grew up in Sydney, Australia. After completing his diploma in Hotel Management, Takis worked in senior positions for a number of establishments in the UK, including Rudding Park Harrogate and IHG Crowne Plaza.
Since relocating to Jersey to join the Pomme d’Or Hotel as the new Front of House Manager, Takis has enjoyed exploring the island’s many beaches and spending time with his family.
He recommends going on a tour to see as much of the island as possible, and of course not to miss our Flavours of Asia Friday's at the Harbour Room restaurant, or an opportunity to enjoy the facilities at the Merton Aquadome.

Joseph Kibe
Guest Services Supervisor
Joseph is our Head Concierge, providing our guests with a range of top-drawer services including making local recommendations and reservations; booking transportation; assisting with luggage; providing courier & parcel services; and organising travel arrangements & tours of local attractions.
