What's happening in St Helier this July

July has seen St Helier's streets bathed in sunshine. Town is a bustling hive of activity, with loads of interesting things happening for visitors and locals alike.

Here are a handful of unmissable events and activities we recommend to our guests during July.

Free guided town walks - every Thursday 

Get out in the sunshine and discover St Helier's unique history. These free guided walks take place every Thursday during July, and each week a different member of the Jersey Tourist Guides Association will share their in-depth knowledge of the island's capital.

Walkers meet outside the Town Hall at 12.30 every Thursday. Booking via Eventbrite is advised, but there may be space on the day if you decide last minute. 

JADC presents West Side Story - 11 to 20 July

The Jersey Amateur Dramatic Club's present their summer show, and this year they'll be performing one of the most memorable musicals of all time - West Side Story. 

The picturesque Jersey Opera House is the venue for all performances, with tickets available from their website here.

Le French Festival -  10 to 15 July

This July Le French Festival returns to the streets of St Helier. The festival celebrates the island's strong historical ties to France, particularly the regions of Normandy and Brittany. French entertainers will be on hand to wow the crowds, and visitors can try their hand in the pétanque tournament.

You can also get your fix of the finest French cuisine and crafts at the Norman market at Weighbridge, just a few metres from the hotel.

CCA Galleries Summer Exhibition - All July

The CCA Galleries Summer Exhibition features the finest work from artists working in and around the Channel Islands. The collection has been hand-picked by a panel of professional artists, and includes prints, paintings, photography and sculptures. 

Entry to the exhibition is free. The CCA Gallery is located on Hill Street, just behind the Royal Square, just a 2 minute walk from our hotel.
