The 'souper' way to watch the Six Nations in Jersey!

22 Feb 2019

The business end of the Six Nations has arrived and this weekend's fixtures promise to serve up another dose of sporting drama. The Wharf Bar is our home of rugby here at The Pomme and we'll have all three games live and loud on the big screens.

France v Scotland | Saturday @ 14.15

In the first game of the weekend, the Scots travel to Paris to take on a wounded French side. The French will be looking to put on a show in front of their home fans after they were picked apart by England two weeks ago.

Wales v England | Saturday @ 16.45

England's trip to Cardiff has (somewhat prematurely) been dubbed the Grand Slam decider. Hyperbole aside, this game is set to be the highlight of the weekend, with a buoyant England looking to put an end to Wales' record run of test match wins. 'Barnstormer' comes to mind!

Italy v Ireland | Sunday @ 15.00

Habitual wooden-spooners Italy host a resurgent Ireland in the weekend's final game. Italy have looked more comfortable in the Stadio Olympico, and their loose, unpredictable style encourages plenty of exciting running rugby. Unfortunately for Italy, the tries are usually scored at their end.

Six nations, six soups and a pint - Meal Deal

You can't beat a drop of hot soup on a February afternoon. At The Wharf you can get a hearty bowl of soup to keep you fortified through the ups and downs of supporting your team on a Six Nations weekend. Our team have whipped up some themed soups, available to order when that particular team is in action. The flavours are:

French Onion

English Broccoli & Stilton

Italian Minestrone

Scottish Lentil

Welsh Leek and Potato

Irish Potato & Savoy Cabbage

All the soups are served in a tasty bread bowl with a choice of a pint, a bottled beer or a soft drink. All for just £6.95!

Loud commentary & a lively atmosphere!

The Wharf will be showing every Six Nations game live on the big screens.

Our passion for rugby runs deep, so if you're after atmosphere and commentary loud enough to hear over the whinging about the referee, the Wharf is the pub for you!
