Raising the bar with excellence
Twenty members of staff at the Merton Hotel have attended the nationally recognised Welcome to Excellence training course, forming a part of Seymour Hotels training and development plan.
The ‘Welcome Host Gold’ customer service course aims to give candidates the skills and knowledge required in order to further understand customer expectations and relations. Highly practical and active in nature, the training consists of interactive sessions, problem solving, group work and personal action planning.
Going above and beyond
As part of the course, all participants also passed the City and Guilds Level 2 Award in principles of customer service in hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism. By enrolling our staff on training courses as valuable as these, they are able to develop knowledge and skills to achieve the high levels of hospitality, from delivering a great first impression through to learning from customer feedback.
We are really proud of our staff members who attended and enjoyed their experience! Later on this year, Seymour Hotels will also be running the 'Welcome All' course, empowering staff with the skills and know-how to exceed the expectations of customers with disabilities.
