Boxercise: Get fighting fit!
Every Friday at 6pm we have a Boxercise class here at the Aquadome gym, but what is Boxercise and what are the benefits of this unique workout?
What is Boxercise?
Boxercise is based on the training regimes that boxers use to keep fit, so you will use boxing gloves and pads during the class whilst taking part in a number of drills.
Typical moves you will perform in the class include shadow-boxing, skipping, hitting pads and kicking punch bags, as well as strength building exercises such as push-ups, sit-ups and running.
Don’t worry… Boxercise classes don’t involve any matches against opponents, so you won’t be thrown into the boxing ring! This is a safe, fun and challenging workout for people of all ability levels.
There are many physical benefits to Boxercise, and it is an excellent class to build up your overall fitness level. You can increase your core strength whilst improving your cardiovascular and muscular endurance, not to mention:

- Increase your discipline
- Focus energy and concentration
- Improve hand- eye coordination
- Increase stamina
