Meet our Front of House Manager - Ryan Watson
When it comes to ensuring all of our guests have a wonderful stay at the Merton, our Front of House Manager, Ryan, is in a class of his own.
Ryan is never happier than when he knows his team is excelling themselves in helping our guests make the most of their holidays. Whether you want to know where to go for the evening or you have a query about our services or facilities, Ryan and his team won't stop until you have the information and answers you need.
Ryan has been with the Merton for more than four years but whilst he's settled in the island and in love with island life, his experiences before he moved to Jersey, are best described as 'international'.
Having been born in Zimbabwe, Ryan lived his early life in South Africa before moving to Dublin in his twenties where he worked at the prestigious Shelbourne Hotel.
After seven years in Ireland, Ryan spent nearly three years at the Marriott Hotel in Portsmouth before heading to Australia and then onto Jersey and the Merton, four years ago.
Delivering the happiest holidays
Driven by his desire to deliver the highest levels of customer service, Ryan and his team are renowned throughout the hotel for constantly pulling out all the stops to make sure guests at the Merton have the happiest of holidays.
When he's not helping our guests, Ryan loves to stay in touch with home by cooking up a Braai - a South African barbecue or playing a few games of tennis with friends. He's also keen on exploring Jersey and loves cycling through the west of the island, where he can watch surfers catching waves as the sun sets over St Ouen's Bay.
