Meet our Entertainment Manager, Lee Cornick

There's always something fun happening at the Merton and we've all got Lee Cornick, our Entertainment Manager, to thank for that.

From Abbaloo to CIWW Sports Entertainment Wrestling via Simply Diva and Classic Kylie, our daily shows are renowned throughout the island for bringing fantastic talent to Jersey's shores. Behind all of these acts appearing at the Merton is Lee, whose energy and enthusiasm for entertaining our guests is irrepressible.

Creating a world of entertainment

Originally from Southampton, Lee has worked for some of the UK's largest names in holidays and entertainment. Having begun his career in entertainment for Haven Holidays, he also worked at Rank Entertainment and Luminar Leisure before coming to Jersey and joining the Merton five years ago.

Whether he's putting performers through their paces in rehearsals or chatting with guests in the lobby, the smile on Lee's face is such a permanent feature at the Merton that we've thought about including it in our brochures!

Active work, active life

When he's not at work, Lee lives a very active lifestyle making the most of Jersey's warmer weather and wonderful clear blue seas as an avid surfer, paddle boarder and jet-skier. He's also recently moved some of his activities to the gym, having taken up the martial art, Muay Thai.

With such a focus on water sports, if you want to embrace a real challenge whilst enjoying the superb facilities at the Merton's Aquadome, we suggest you try to emulate Lee's skills on the Flowrider SurfWave.
