May bank holiday fun for families

May bank holiday fun for families

03 May 2019

If you love bank holidays (and who doesn't?), then May is the month for you. As we prepare the hotel for two bank holidays in one week, we thought we'd give our guests and readers a few ideas for things to do on your days off.

The Jersey Boat Show - Saturday to Monday, St Helier

The Jersey Boat Show, now in its 12th year, claims to be Jersey's largest free event, and that's great news for all the families out there looking to have some fun without breaking the bank. You don't have to be a die hard boatie to enjoy the Boat Show! There's plenty of fun for all the family, and while you take a sneak peak at some of the glamorous boats on show, the kids can burn off some energy and enjoy the Kids' Zone.

Dip 'n' Dine - Friday & Sunday, The Merton Aquadome

Our favourite swimming and dining event is back, and we'll be welcoming families to the Aquadome on Friday night and Sunday afternoon. Prices have changed slightly from last year, so if you haven't been in 2019, head over to our Dip 'n' Dine page to get the full rundown on what's included and ticket prices.

Bouley Bay Hill Climb - Thursday (9th May), Bouley Bay

On Liberation Day the island's motorsport community comes together to take on the Bouley Bay Hill Climb. Entry is free, and you can guarantee the kids will love finding a spot on the hill and watching the cars and motorcycles whizz by.

Bouley Bay is located on Jersey's stunning north coast, just a 15 minute drive from St. Helier. Parking is available within a short walk to the course - simply follow the signs. Racing takes place from 10am to 5pm.

Whatever you do on the bank holidays this week, the team at the Merton hope you have a great time!
