It’s showtime for the whole family this May Half Term at the Merton Hotel’s Star Room!

Two big shows

On bank holiday Monday, May 27, Danny Foster and The Big Soul Corporation take to the stage with their feel good classic soul revue show. Danny, who was once part of pop group Hear’say, has always had a real passion for soul classics and this is demonstrated in a high energy stage performance alongside the brilliantly talented Victoria and the Big Soul Corporation dancers.

The Ed Sheeran Experience comes to Jersey on Tuesday 28 May with Jack Shepherd, an exceptional Ed Sheeran impersonator who has been performing his amazing replica live shows worldwide. With a true likeness in sound and similar looks, Jack's similarity to Ed enhances this musical experience. There are no backing tracks in in this live performance which are covered using live looping, rapping and beat boxing. Expect all of the massive hits including Castle on the Hill, Galway Girl, Perfect and Shape of You.

Tickets

Both shows start at 9.30pm with live family entertainment in the Star Room from 7.45pm.

Hotel guests can enjoy the show for free, but non-residents can also attend these two great shows by purchasing tickets from JT Rewards Ticket Booth.

Dinner and show packages are also available with a delicious carvery buffet in the Belvedere Restaurant, before making your way into the Star Room for the show. These can be booked by calling 01534 745317 or emailing events@mertonhotel.com.

Other entertainment this half term

The half term holidays also see two new productions for the 2019 season.

Wish upon a star is a show packed full of Disney song magicful-ness while Cool Britannia celebrates the great British pop songs that have ruled the airwaves. Featuring the music of Take That, the Spice Girls, Wham!, Girls Aloud and many more, it’s a show guaranteed to have you singing and dancing along.

Wish Upon a Star is live on stage on Thursday 30 May at 8.30pm and you can see the debut of Cool Britannia on Friday evening at 9.30pm.
