Our hotel doors aren't open yet, but that doesn't mean we haven't been busy! 

Ensuring we treat our guests to the very best entertainment each evening is a big job. The planning and booking starts months in advance, but today we can reveal all of the acts that will grace the Star Room stage in 2019.

2019's line up is a diverse mix of high quality comedians, magicians, cabaret, tribute acts, variety shows and more. We'll see many of our guests' best-loved acts return, as well as a whole host of new and exciting additions for the 2019 season. 

New entertainment at the Merton for 2019

Every night during the peak summer season we welcome a different act to the Star Room stage. This year we're pleased to announce no less than six new acts! Some of our favourites include:

Cool Britannia

From the Beatles to the Spice Girls, Britain has ruled the airwaves with the greatest pop songs, which are celebrated in this energetic song and dance show!

Cool Britannia perform every Friday evening from 31st May - 13th September.

Georgi Mottram

Local soprano singing sensation Georgi Mottram brings her powerful and distinctive voice to the Star Room stage during July and August. Georgi cut her teeth in London's West End and we're expect nothing but brilliance from her!

Georgi performs on multiple dates throughout July and August.

Wish Upon a Star

Disney classics done right! Enjoy your favourite Disney singalongs and get your boogie on during this fantastically choreographed, family-friendly show.

Wish Upon a Star is performed every Thursday night at 8.30 from 4th July - 29th August.

Acts making a welcome return

There are some acts we just have to welcome back each and every year. These guys really know how to get a crowd on their feet and we can't wait for them to get back to what they do best - entertain our guests!

Abbaloo - Here they go again!

Sing and dance along to ABBA’s greatest hits and the biggest songs from the Mamma Mia soundtracks with top tribute act, and Merton favourites, Abbaloo.

Abbaloo perform every Wednesday night from 15th May - 18th September, as well as numerous dates during other school holidays. For Abbaloo's full performance schedule, visit the entertainment calendar. 

Rock The Country

Experience some of the biggest country music songs performed live in this floor-stompin’ yee-harrin’ country rockin’ musical shindig!

Rock The Country perform most Tuesdays from the 14th of May until the end of the peak season. For Rock The Country's full performance schedule, visit the entertainment calendar.

Non residents welcome!

At The Merton, our shows are for everyone. Non residents are welcome to enjoy a show in The Star Room.

• Admission is free for Merton Hotel & Suites residents and anyone staying at a Seymour Group Hotel.
• For weekend tribute nights and special events such as CIWW Wrestling shows and Halloween, non-residents can purchase admission tickets or dinner show packages from jtrewards.com/tickets
• On other nights, non-residents can enjoy the Star Room entertainment when they dine at any of the Merton Hotel outlets that evening. This includes The Belvedere, Bonetti’s, Jersey Joe’s and the Lobby Bar: simply show your dining receipt for admission.
