Enjoy the magic of musicals at the Jersey Film Festival

02 August 2017

From the Rocky Horror Picture Show to Disney's Beauty and the Beast, this year's Jersey Film Festival is set to light up Howard Davis Park with a compilation of everyone's favourite cinematic musicals.

Magic in the Park

Taking place over six evenings from 5th - 10th August, the festival is completely free to attend and unique in its setting. There really is no experience quite like watching Dirty Dancing as the sun sets whilst you're sat amidst the park's beautiful gardens!

The Jersey Film Festival is an annual event that's open to everyone in the island. The brainchild of Deputy Kevin Lewis, a local politician and film fanatic who's been holding the festival for more than 20 years, it provides the opportunity to watch Hollywood classics on a giant screen in the truly unique setting of Howard Davis Park.

Before the main feature, enjoy a scrumptious main course

Just five minutes walk from the Merton, the Jersey Film Festival offers a fantastic way to spend an evening with a difference. aTo make a full evening of it, why not enjoy an evening meal at Bonetti's before taking the short walk down the hill to the Park? There's no need to book tickets for the festival in advance, so you can just check the weather before making your decision.

The Jersey Film Festival runs from August 5th – 10th, with nightly screenings beginning at 8.30pm. This years films are:

5th August - The Rocky Horror Picture Show
6th August - The Wizard of Oz
7th August - La La Land
8th August - Dirty Dancing
9th August - Mama Mia
10th August - Beauty and the Beast

If you'd like to enjoy a classic Italian meal at Bonetti's before the screening, just call us on 01534 724231.
