Autumn is a game-changer! The once green leaves are now golden in the garden of Greenhills Country House Hotel. The evenings are drawing in and our guests are gathering around the hearth, enjoying a small apèritif amid the lively chatter that comes with sharing cosy times with family and friends.
As well as the warm welcome and cosy historic setting for which the Greenhills is well known, our dinner guests join us to savour the exquisitely tasty dishes that Head Chef Lukasz has designed to reflect the changing seasons.
Food for the soul
Venison, partridge, wild boar - this autumn Lukasz has turned to the richness of game to warm both body and soul.
He's designed our à la carte menu to ensure that you can taste the season in every mouthful. To begin, you could try our deeply flavoured game broth, or smoked wild boar accompanied by roasted chestnuts and cranberry jam - because nothing is more autumnal than chestnuts!
And that's just for starters. When it comes to the main course, game is the name of the game! From succulent venison stroganoff to red deer with spätzle and a port wine jus, our seasonal dishes will ensure the cold is kept well at bay.

Of course, our new à la carte menu offers more than the finest game. For seafood connoisseurs, there's an incredible roast turbot and prawn tortellini dish, and a stunning grilled dover sole. Those who enjoy the finest of Jersey beef will be thrilled by our selection of fillet and sirloin steaks, cooked just the way they want.
