New vegan dishes launched at Greenhills
For vegans, eating out in Jersey has, until recently, been a less than brilliant experience. Vegan dishes were often added to menus as an after thought and cooked with less love than their meat-laden counterparts.
But times they are a-changing and when our Head Chef, Lukasz Piestrasz, was putting together his Spring à la carté menu, he put delicious vegan dishes at the top of his agenda.
Our new vegan menu features a choice of two starters, three mains, and two desserts, all sourced, prepared and plated with the same commitment to excellence as the rest of our menus.
Tomato tabbouleh with lentils, avocado and mixed olives
This Lebanese-inspired dish is a light, refreshing and flavoursome starter, that combines locally grown tomatoes, al dente lentils and finely chopped avocado and mixed olives.
Honey roast vegetable salad with pumpkin seeds and a lemon dressing
This fresh salad combines sweet honey roasted seasonal vegetables with crunchy, flavoursome pumpkin seeds and a vibrant lemon dressing.
And for your main?
Tempura courgette fritters with Israeli couscous, artichoke and pomegranate
This dish locks in the flavour of locally grown courgettes with a light tempura batter. Served on a bed of Israeli couscous, artichoke and zesty pomegranate.
Spiced aubergine with turmeric & coconut, bok choy and sesame
Lukasz's personal favourite, this dish combines spicy, aromatic aubergine slices with a turmeric and coconut sauce. Topped with stir-fried bok choy and a splash of sesame oil and seeds.
Pan fried tofu on vegetable spaghetti, baby spinach, curly kale and smoked almond
This dish features tofu, fried to perfection, on a bed of vegetable-infused spaghetti. Baby spinach, curly kale and smoked almonds provides a well-balanced crunch to the softness of the tofu and spaghetti.
