Flambé evening sells out faster than we can write a blog about it

04 Sep 2019

This week we were due to write an article discussing one of our favourite methods of cooking, Flambé and invite you all to our upcoming evening which celebrates the fiery cooking technique.

But low and behold, before we could put finger to keyboard the evening completely sold out! It seems we're not the only fans of flambé.

Why is flambé so popular?

When it comes to culinary showmanship, nothing ignites an audience like the thrill of flambé.

Flambé is a very different way of cooking. Cooked and served at your table, the food, together with a complementary alcohol, is added to a hot pan to create a burst of flames.

Made popular in 19th century when Christmas puddings and sweet omelettes were set on fire with a slosh of cognac, flambé continues to captivate foodies whilst adding distinct flavours to the fired up dishes.

What happens at a Greenhills' flambé evening?

Enjoy three courses of expertly flambéed local food, accompanied with complimentary wines and brilliant company.

Get on our 'interested' list for the next flambé evening

Due to the popularity of our flambé evening, we'd like to host another one. To make sure you don't miss out, give our restaurant team a call on 01534 481042 or email enquiries@greenhillshotel.com and put your name on our 'interested list'.

There's no charge and absolutely no commitment. All we'll do is contact you once the details of the evening have been ironed out and give you the first chance to reserve a table.
