The World War Two scenario for Jersey was the near 5 year long
German Occupation.
It holds a fascination for many people
The islands became the 'mailed fist' of the German Atlantic
Wall; life became very unpleasant for the islanders.
A picture of the German Occupation is easily envisaged by the
walker on this very special tour. This tour will show you
Jersey's own 'Dunkirk' with the last little boat still suviving,
the German railway line that that transported materials for the
Atlantic Wall, and the prisoner of war camp.
One can feel and understand very clearly, the onslaught of
pernicious human behaviour along with its effects on a captured
population.
