Surfing is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. For many, 'riding a wave' provides the ultimate adrenaline rush.
Now members of the Merton Leisure Club & Aquadome can experience the thrill of surfing, whatever the wind and weather conditions. The FlowRider™ allows anyone to ride a wave without fear - no wind, no tides, just fun!
What is the FlowRider™?
'Flowboarding' is a sport that combines the look of surfing, the ride of snowboarding and the tricks of skateboarding. The FlowRider™ sends a thin sheet of water up a sloped, cushioned ride surface to create a wavelike flow of water. It's fun, safe and perfect for beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers.
How do I ride the FlowRider™?
After a safety briefing and a few tips for a successful ride from our fully trained instructors, you can set off standing up (flowboarding) or lying down (bodyboarding). Carve, try tricks and otherwise show your stuff as spectators cheer you on from the surrounding viewing platform.
The FlowRider™'s bottom layer is made of soft material and when water flows over it, it feels just like a judo mat. Falling hardly hurts at all and this makes flowboarding a safe sport. If you fall off, just get up and go - again, again and again!

- Bodyboards 42 inches, 1.06m, 3 feet 6 inches.
- Flowboards 52 inches, 1.32m, 4 feet 4 inches.
Private Hire
Hang ten with your mates on the ultimate wave machine, available to hire for up to 12 people. Great fun for private parties or a corporate day out.
- Maximum of 12 riders
- Swimming not included
- Subject to availability

- Food and drink available after your session at an additional cost
- There will be music to enhance the atmosphere and to ensure an energetic party vibe
Private hire sessions
- Available between 6pm - 8pm (safety briefing included)
- Available to book until 30th October 2024
Price
- £200 for a 2 hour session including instructor (£110 for an additional hour, subject to availability)
- Additional riders at £10 per person
- Drinks from Cascades can be pre-ordered in advance
